The Vegan Kind are an online supermarket specialising in Vegan and responsibly sourced products. With two arms to their business, they sell products directly but also offer subscription-style boxes that introduce their customers to new products.
The Vegan Kind have been growing remarkably over the last 5 years and with a new round of investment they needed to show they could kick on and reach new performance heights.
The new year always sees a higher churn rate in subscriptions as people cancel ahead of the summer period. With a new investment just received TVK had to show they could minimise this with the influence of new customers.
This provided another challenge, with subscription customers being notoriously expensive to acquire. We needed to scale the new customers while doing it profitably and within budget.
Social media (mainly Facebook and Instagram) had been a source for new customers previously but having run it internally it had less focus as the business grew and the demands on team members increased.
After reviewing the previous work, we knew the targeting wasn’t the issue (although we improve some re-marketing to reduce the churn rate), It was creative.
The creative being used was targeting the hard-core vegan community, whilst the product had an appearance that is so much wider. With a new round of creatives combined with some targeting tweaks, we quickly took the product to a new audience and saw some great results.
